Hello, Welcome back to Pokemoner.com, and I’m Pokemoner. Today, We will play Pokemon Dreams by MonopolyRubix! It’s a New GBA Hack ROM and based on Pokemon Fire Red.
It’s completed in a new story, new region, Pokemon up to Gen 7, Mega evolution, Dexnav, and more. The author spent around 7 years creating this game. Anyway, it’s completed in English. And now, Let’s play!
Dreams is a hack set in a new region with a new story. The protagonist, a traveling trainer, arrives in the region of Solda. In the small community of Thicket Town, they meet a boy who seeks to live up to his brother, the local gym leader. This is their journey through the region as they meet new characters and strive for the Pokémon League.
This hack is designed with a focus on characters and worldbuilding. Though it tells a linear story, the map is sprinkled with optional areas containing useful items and pokémon to reward exploration.
8 Gyms, a Pokémon League, and postgame rematches are playable
All Pokémon through Generation 7 available
The small cast of 35 Fakemon brings the total to 844 Pokémon

Q: Why does my game freeze after the first cutscene with the Dunsparce girl?
A: If you’re freezing after the first cutscene, this is an emulator issue. Some emulators can’t read expanded ROMs correctly. It’s confirmed to happen on john GBA and vba m. Beetle GBA also has issues with time and evolutions.
The following emulators have been tested and work:
Windows: mGBA, VBA (for some people)
Mac: mGBA, openEMU
Android: RetroArch (with mGBA core), myBoy
iOS: GBA4iOS, Delta (for some people)
If your game doesn’t work keep trying different emulators
Q: Where do I get evolution stones?
A: Buy them in Montanore Town after finishing the events in Mt. Oren
Q: What are the Fakemon level-up moves?
A: Look here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MqqOe9lKBW35S_5Pyo5AExVjATqm33bCO33HjFf5q1c/edit?usp=sharing
Q: What are the Fakemon’s stats/abilities/etc?
A: Look here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ex3XPsisSQ85qC0V7XQiSWan6kbq-XAPBUs_s5t4Euw/edit?usp=sharing
Q: What do the Fakemon look like/When does X evolve?
Q: Where do I find X mega stone?
Q: Where is X TM?
Q: Where is X Pokemon?
A: Check this spreadsheet! Coalossal thanks to @Space Raton for putting this together!
Q: What do I do/Where do I go?
A: Check this spoiler-light walkthrough by @Space Raton !
Q: Did this hack buff/nerf X Pokemon/item/mechanic?
A: No, most likely not. The Fakemon are of course original creations, but the other 809 existing Pokemon were not adjusted from their default settings in CFRU, which is itself based very faithfully on the mechanics of the core Pokemon games as of Gen 7
Q: What are the Fakemon TM/HM learnsets?
A: List provided by @Model Fx (thanks!)
Q: How do I get X Pokemon’s alternate form(s)?
A: Unfortunately, a number of alt forms are not currently implemented in Dreams.
The list of Pokemon whose form changes are not available includes (but is not limited to): Deoxys, Rotom, Giratina, Shaymin, Arceus, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Kyurem, Genesect, Greninja, Zygarde, Hoopa, Necrozma
Pokemon whose form changes are now available are: Primal Groudon & Kyogre, Mega Rayquaza, Keldeo, Meloetta
Q: My game freezes during double battles.
A: This is an emulator issue. Scroll up and use one of the suggested emulators.
